Really!

I learned to love working in the LGU; waking up early and giving service to the City's constituents.

Surely, I will miss my officemates who shared their weekdays with me. I'll be missing the 'thunderously amiable' voice of Mayor and the encouraging acts of Sir Teddy.

I am very glad to get to work with Sir Rex, the City Administrator.

I know I cannot stop summer days to unfold so fast. All I can do is cherish every moment that I spend with those valuable personalities leading our City of Character.

I should condition myself in to going back to normal- studies! Sooner, I will be working with them again; hope it'll be longer.

The experience I've earned this summer is priceless.

For now, I am preparing for the upcoming classes, moving on, leaving summerdays with a big smile.

Tony

I'm a FAN of WARREN BUFFETT

I was struck when I read this excerpt from a Magazine.

Until now, I am still amazed with his story and life. How I wish I'll get to see and know him more someday. (Even a handshake will do, make me feel so blessed.)

So, I want to share this one to you.

1. Born on August 30, 1930, he bought his first share at age 11 and he now regrets that he started too late!

2. He bought a small farm at age 14 with savings from delivering newspapers.

3. He still in the same small 3 bedroom house in mid-town Omaha, that he bought after he got married 50 years ago. He says that he has everything he needs in that house. His house does not have a wall or a fence.

4. He drives his own car everywhere and does not have a driver or security people around him.

5. He never travels by private jet, although he owns the world’s largest private jet company.

6. His company, Berkshire Hathaway, own 63, companies. He writes only one letter each year to the CEOs of these companies, giving them goals for the year. He never holds meetings or calls them on a regular basis.

7. He has given his CEO’s only two rule number 1

Rule number 1: Do not lose any of your share holder’s money
Rule number 2: Do not forget rule number 1

8. He does not socialize with the high society crowd. His past time after he gets home is to make himself some pop corn and watch television.

9. Bill Gates, the world’s richest man met him for the first time only 5 years ago. Bill Gates did not think he had anything in common with Warren Buffet. So he had scheduled his meeting only for half hour. But When Gates met him, the meeting lasted for ten hours and Bill Gates became a devotee of Warren Buffet.

10. Warren Buffet does not carry a cell phone, nor has a computer on his desk.

11. His advice to young people: Stay away from credit cards and invest in yourself.

I will always be inspired of Warren Buffett's story.

Antonia

Bais City United Methodist Church

God will always provide. HE answers our every prayer in the right time and in the best time for us.

I am so happy to see our church, the United Methodist Church in Bais to be renovated for almost 8 years of praying and waiting for our Korean Missionaries to appropriate funds for the church.

Its walls witnessed the memories and happenings that transpired during services. Its wooden chairs heard all the struggles of the pastors who were assigned in Bais.

I will always be a living testimony of how GOD took care of our church and strengthen its 5-10 regular members.

I was only 4 years old when I joined the church workers and Koreans in a circle as they bless the opening of the church.

I am 20 now and I am still serving the church. No matter how hard would be the struggles in order to keep our church established and keep going, I will never leave its gateways.. I know this is the way GOD wants me to be. After weeks of struggling to cope with the pressure (not to mention the adjustments in the working environment: fully air conditioned office and a very cruel sun outside ), I am now well-equipped physically and 'emotionally' to work with the LGU employees. At last, I've enjoyed my summer vacation after the quite 'tedious' school works.

Dwelling in the office for eight hours and mingling with the well-known individuals in the city suddenly became not that easy. I can feel the pressure and the need to do things right and doing the right things. Though my officemates are friendly and accommodating, I can still feel the hesitation. I still don't know how to call this 'feeling'- quite awkward.

For sure, this summer job will be another opportunity for me be exposed with the scenes in real life and living in the real world after I graduate ( with God's grace).

These days will also be my avenue to show my warmest gratitude to the people who in a lot of ways, helped me in my studies. I know the effort I am exerting these past few weeks is still not enough to compensate.

The best way that I can show my deepest thanks to them is through earning the degree that I dreamed of. And the greatest thing that I can show to them is the diploma that I should behold after I leave the pylons of NORSU.

Monday is fast approaching and I still have the enthusiasm to start the week again with the flag ceremony in front of Bais City Hall. I'll face another week of serving the people of the City of Whales and Dolphins!

Aja!

how to be your guy's good Girl?

Don't you think being a good girlfriend is an excellent art?. It is a improved plan in mature relationships. Be unprompted, but be careful in your impulsiveness.Be happy.

3: Communicate regularly: Do not talk his ear off, he doesn't need your opinion, if he did he would read a book or something he respects. However, make positive that if you have any difficulty that will have an effect on your mood, he is made aware of the reasons for your problems. so that you do not come into view to just be a indecisive and bad-tempered creature. But if you have big problems, keep it to yourself, because then it may look like you are talking his ear off.

4: Build your desires, needs, and opinions: Still when they might disagreement with his. Such as having the desire to converse issues first, then shutting the torture up. If you want to be reliable, make sure it's well-matched with his/her desires. If you are reliably annoying, they won't have none of that.

6: Be patient: Please don't mechanically think he did not hear you when you said something. May be he was worried with not listening to you. Don't jump to end and don't be bitchy about being ignored all the time. Remember, they may be trying to be reliable with their egocentricism.

7: Take an interest in his interests: Take an interest in his disinterests too. A lot has experienced heart ache and broken promises. The outright reaction is crying out the pain, others even drink to mitigate the 'suffering', worse, others even commit suicide.

In order for us to keep and cherish a relationship, here are steps I got from my reading expedition and I want to share with you in order for our relationships to stay alive:

Steps1: Give up dead routines: After the initial enthusiasm of being together is over, many fall into a routine and begin taking one another for granted.

They assume they know what their partner is feeling, that it doesn't subject if they come late for a date, don’t look as nice as they used to or make a decision to spend more and more time out with friends. It is crucial to understand that there are many small ways in which we damage relationships. Unless two people feel cared for and valued by one another, it is easy for the feelings of love to fade away.

Break into routines. Break out of channels. Take time to plan exciting, romantic, delicious times to spend together. Even if it’s now for a little while. Offer time to the relationship that nothing can interrupt. This is a sacred time for the two of you and during it do what makes both of you feel most satisfied.

Steps2: Take charge of how you perceive your partner each day:

The good feelings between partners are frequently sharp by the way in which they view one another. Do you view him as a hero? somebody you can look up to and respect or are you mostly dwelling upon his/her faults. After a relationship has gone on for a while it is easy to start to view one another as ordinary. This is a sure-fire method for putting out any fire that may exist. Remember, when you first fell in love, you only saw the best about that person and focused on how wonderful they were. If you want to keep the love alive, keep that going deliberately.

Step3: Understanding Hidden Expectations:

Take a instant to become aware of what you are expecting of your partner. Is it possible for him to fulfill these expectations. Does he need the same thing from the relationship? More frequently than not, it is our unfulfilled expectations, which make us upset. In order to feel close and satisfied in a relationship, a vital step is making sure your expectations can be met. See how your expectations bring into line with the person you are with.

Also take time to see if anyone can fulfill them? Are these expectations realistic or simply childhood dreams you are still carrying with you?

Step4: Letting Him Fulfill Your Dreams:

Become aware off which expectations of yours your partner does meet. Now see if you are ready to be satisfied with that. Can you find a way to feel thankful for what you are receiving? Sometimes now deciding that what your partner offers is good sufficient, can permit the love to catch fire once again. Then, let him know that he’s making you happy. Most people have a deep require to know and to hear that they are meaningful to you.

Step5: Re-Choose Your Partner:

When these steps are taken, you will not only be more connected, but you will be with your partner because there is no other location you need to be. The relationship will not be one of expediency, but one of choice. The actual act of re-choosing our partners, of knowing they are the one’s we want to be with, is the conclusion of the reconnecting and romance we have found.

If we love our respective partners in life, then we must treasure every moment that we are together. We never want to lose them. Let us take our part before it's too late.

keeping Mykz with me,
Tony

Thanks God i'm still alive!

It was 7 in the morning when the alarm signals of my phone woke me up. huh?!I don't feel well and I want to spend this whole day sleeping..I hate this cough and colds!eeeewwwww..I can hardly breath with this colds and it seems I want to vomit every time I cough..anyway, my daily routine must still have to go on.(sobbing)..

On my way to school, I have my boardmate with me. We were just talking about the enrollment hassles.( another problem that bothered my mind)..We continue to talk when I suddenly cross the street not minding the multicab rushing towards me. I shivered but continue to walk in a faster phase. There was commotion inside the cab. I was about to be hit by the cab. nearly..very near..

As I reach the other side of the road, I was half-shock looking at my boardmate. I'm relieved to know that she did not follow my way. I am not sure if she will not be hit by the cab. (I'm so clumsy). This day is one of those clumsy days I have in my stay here in Dumaguete. I hate busy streets before I don't know how to cross the street without causing commotions to those looking at me.

At this moment while I'm writing this blog, I look back to the incident that happened just an hour ago. I am wearing this tight pencil skirt and I can't walk that fast with this. I am wondering why I pass through the road without being hit by the cab. The cab was so close to me and I never thought I can still escape from it. But here I am, still breathing- ready to take the long queues of students for the enrollment and kicking to start another day.

Someone carried me. He had just carried me awhile ago. And He will always carry me. He will always keep me safe. Now as I contemplate on things, I realize, it's better to have this yucky colds and cough than to be laid down in the ICU unconscious. It's better to be burdened with this itchy throat than to suffer from the near-death picture of a comatose. I'd rather care to bring ply of tissue than to be covered by bandages. I'd rather fight with this simple summer illnesses than to see my parents and loved-ones fighting with me for survival.

I can outlive this colds and cough! HmnmP?

I thank God for giving me chances to realize that every single thing that happened to me and every petty suffering are still blessings, blessing i disguise I may see. I must thank Him for an opportunity to live this wonderful life in the fullest. I thank him for endowing in me chances to live. I thank Him now, tomorrow and always..

Life is all about Loving its every detail

The series of seminar/workshops that the PYLON, official graduates yearbook of Negros Oriental State University System, conducted catered an avenue for the PYLONites to learn more on there field and even refresh the learnings of old staff. Its gateways flashes a picture in to my mind- a mob of students with diverse personalities and with varying aspects of life- a view that triggers my weakness and cowardice in facing the real world. The moment fills my entire being with uncertainties. With the course I am on which requires extreme hard works, I am carrying additional burden and pressure. Nevertheless, as I gaze at the uncertainties, I pulled out the last ounce of courage and determination in me. I decided to believe in my dreams and I know the paths I have to pass through will be a lot more beautiful if I’ll love every aspect of it.

As I started to live my student life in ways I am not used to, my eyes are unveiled with the realities of life. I gradually discover the very reason in my every undertaking- from waking-up early, preparing for school all by myself, taking meals all alone, doing the laundries up to accomplishing school works while scrutinizing how to spend every peso in my limited budget. I have to find new friends and buddies to share my time with. I got a number of things to do in order to succeed and adapt with the environment I am dwelling in. I know I need to cope and pass through all of these rudiments to survive.

I experienced suddenly bursting out in tears while I’m making home works. At one time, I find it so hard to understand the lessons then I found myself asking my classmates for a group study. I feel so left behind the group of intellectuals in our college. I started to assume that it’s my intellectual capability gradually failing or maybe I am never that intelligent.

I am badly missing my family- the times we shared together and the comfort of a home. I don’t want this feeling of emptiness to overwhelm me because I know I am doing this for them and for our future. I have to be tough enough to withstand the feeling, tougher than the roughness of the kind of living I’m in to.

I am in the process of adjusting with the new world I am in. I am doing everything to prove that I was not wrong in transferring and pursuing my dream of becoming an accountant. I know that if I’ll start to regret and backed-out, it will be my greatest failure- not only mine, but also of my entire family and the people loving me.

University life is indeed a whole thing different from the happy-go-lucky high school years. Life may be topped with unpleasant stuffs. Those are undesirable ones that every rational human can never flee from. Though things may be rough, the experiences will be worth reminiscing if one touches every element of it with passion.

Now, I just smile as I looked back at the difficulties I had. No matter how rude and unpleasant experiences turn out, the best way to find its beautiful side is to love every detail of it. At the end of the struggle, you’ll prove that love will always keep you alive!
